PIX is Brazil’s instant payment system, run by the central bank, and the usual way to move Brazilian reais (BRL) into a crypto exchange. This guide is for English-speaking readers living in Brazil: which of four exchanges take PIX, how the deposit works, what it costs, when it lands and how the central bank review affects it.

PIX on four exchanges at a glance
Three of the four exchanges covered here list BRL deposits via PIX on official pages: Binance, Bitget and Gate. For Bybit, no official page confirmed a PIX deposit during the check; PIX shows up on the withdrawal side instead. Published fee and timing data is partial: Gate states a BRL 25.00 minimum with no fee, and Binance describes PIX as instant and available 24/7. All four are “under review” at the Banco Central do Brasil (BCB) since its November 6, 2026 list, which keeps them in the transition period. None of these exchanges serves residents of the United States or Canada.
Where a PIX deposit usually gets stuck
- A different CPF: the PIX must come from a bank account in your own name and CPF (Brazil’s taxpayer ID).
- Unverified account: on Binance, users without “Verified” status cannot deposit.
- A bank refusing the transfer: since November 6, 2026, banks may not do business with unauthorized providers, and the sources do not detail how that applies to firms still under review.
Who this guide is for
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Fits | Brazil residents making a first BRL deposit at an international exchange |
| Fits | Existing users comparing PIX across Binance, Bitget, Bybit and Gate |
| Does not fit | Readers looking for card or boleto deposits |
| Does not fit | Anyone hoping to deposit without identity verification |
| Before starting | A bank account under your CPF, a photo ID and a phone with a camera |
| Suggested first deposit | A small amount, just to confirm the route works |
Quick table: PIX by exchange
| Exchange | PIX deposit | Minimum | Deposit fee | Published timing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Binance | Yes (PIX and TED) | Not found | Not found | Instant, 24/7 |
| Bitget | Yes, under Bank Deposit | Not found | Not found | Not found |
| Bybit | Not confirmed on an official page | — | — | — |
| Gate | Yes, described as buying crypto with PIX | BRL 25.00 | No fee | Not found |
Data checked on November 8, 2026; official pages prevail. “Not found” means no official source was located, not that the value is zero.
Before the first PIX: account and verification
A deposit works only after two things are done: the account exists and identity is verified. All four exchanges ask for a government photo ID and a face scan.
| Exchange | What an unverified account cannot do |
|---|---|
| Binance | Without “Verified” status: no deposits, trading or buying |
| Bitget | Without Level 1: crypto withdrawals are blocked |
| Bybit | Fiat withdrawals require standard verification |
| Gate | Withdrawals and trading features are limited |
Two habits that prevent a returned PIX:
- Register the same name that appears on the bank account.
- Choose Brazil as the document country and use the CPF of the paying account.
If the account does not exist yet, the referral code goes in at sign-up, not later. Each exchange’s rule is in its code guide: Binance, Bitget and Gate.

Step by step: the PIX deposit on each exchange
Button labels differ slightly between app and website. The overall route stays the same: Deposit, BRL, PIX, amount, payment from the banking app.
Binance: PIX or TED
- Open Deposit and pick BRL.
- Select PIX among the bank transfer options.
- Enter the amount and review the details on screen.
- Pay from the banking app, using the account under your CPF.
- Watch for the BRL balance in the wallet.
Binance’s official page names PIX as the preferred route, available 24/7 with instant credit. TED appears as a second bank transfer option.
Bitget: PIX inside Bank Deposit
- Go to Deposit and choose Bank Deposit.
- Select PIX and the BRL currency.
- Enter the amount and follow the payment instructions.
- Send the PIX from an account in your own name.
Bitget publishes the deposit walkthrough in its help center and on its official blog. Neither page showed a deposit fee or timing during the check; the deposit screen shows what applies at that moment.
Bybit: what is and is not confirmed
No official Bybit page confirmed BRL deposits via PIX as of November 8, 2026. On the withdrawal side, Bybit’s help center does describe PIX, with a PIX key and a tax type (CPF or CNPJ) registered for the receiving account. Anyone planning to use PIX on Bybit needs to open the deposit screen in the app before sending money. If PIX is not listed there, it is not available to that account.
Gate: PIX as a crypto purchase, and the way back through partners
Gate’s own official guide presents PIX as buying crypto with PIX: payment comes from a bank account linked to the user’s CPF, with a BRL 25.00 minimum and no fee, according to that guide. The difference shows up on the way out. Gate has no native BRL bank withdrawal. Getting reais back means selling crypto through payment partners (Banxa, MoonPay or Coinify), and each partner applies its own verification, limits and fees.
In practice:
- If the purchase screen names a payment partner, that partner’s fees and limits apply.
- Before putting a large amount into Gate, work out how it will come back: through a sale with one of these partners, under that partner’s rules.
What the central bank review means for PIX
BCB Resolutions 519, 520 and 521 created an authorization regime for virtual asset service providers. Foreign firms had to file by October 30, 2026.
Where the four exchanges stand on the BCB list of November 6, 2026:
| Exchange | Status | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Binance | Under review | Filed through local company BBrasil on October 23, 2026 |
| Bitget | Under review | Listed under its local company |
| Bybit | Under review | Local office in São Paulo |
| Gate | Under review | Before the list, no filing had been located |
What “under review” means:
- Filed, not approved. The central bank itself stresses that being on the list is not an authorization.
- Transition period. Firms that filed on time may keep operating while the request is assessed.
- The bank rule. Since November 6, 2026, BCB-authorized institutions may not do business with providers that do not meet the required conditions.
Reports differ on the size of the list: one counts 134 requests, another 120. The 134-request version lists 24 approvals, almost all of them traditional banks and financial institutions.
Before a large PIX, check the official central bank list. A rejected request could stop PIX from working for that exchange.
When the PIX does not arrive: likely cause and next step
| What happens | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| The bank returns the PIX | Paying account under a different name or CPF | Send again from an account in your own name and CPF |
| No deposit option appears | Identity verification not finished | Complete KYC, then return to the deposit screen |
| Gate rejects the amount | Amount below BRL 25.00 | Raise it to the stated minimum |
| The bank blocks the transfer | November 6, 2026 rule on unauthorized providers | Contact the exchange’s support and the bank; check the BCB list |
| The balance takes a while | Timing varies and is not published by every exchange | Keep the receipt and open a support ticket with it |
The PIX receipt, with date, time and amount, is what support asks for on all four exchanges.
Satovela code and new-user rewards on the first deposit
A first deposit usually counts as a task in new-user programs. The table combines the benefit Satovela configured with each exchange’s official new-user reward.
| Exchange | Satovela code | Official new-user reward | Task tied to the first deposit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Binance | 10% trading fee rebate | Up to US$100 in fee vouchers across 3 tasks, within 14 days of KYC | First deposit of at least US$10 equivalent: US$30 voucher |
| Bitget | 20% trading fee rebate | Welcome pack advertised as up to 6,200 USDT, via Rewards Center points, within 7 days | First deposit of at least 50 USDT: 200 points |
| Bybit | No code on this site | Up to 100 USDT in the Rewards Hub new-user mode, within 7 days (official source, cached) | Deposit of 100 USDT or more: 20 USDT (Welcome Rewards) |
| Gate | 20% trading fee rebate | Welcome Package in vouchers, plus advanced tasks advertised as up to 15,000 USDT | First deposit of at least 50 USDT: 30 USDT voucher |
Data checked on November 8, 2026; official pages prevail. The code percentages are Satovela’s referral settings and apply as shown at sign-up and in the account.
Before counting on a reward:
- Code plus reward: Binance’s official rule excludes only sign-ups through a “Lite” referral link; the Satovela code uses the Pro model. Bitget’s and Gate’s official pages do not exclude code users. In all three cases, the official rules do not rule out the combination, but they do not guarantee it in writing either.
- Binance: vouchers work only in the app, do not cover API fees, and some countries are excluded from the program.
- Bybit: tap “Register Now” in the Rewards Hub before depositing, or the deposit does not count.
- Rewards are not free cash: vouchers and points come with usage rules and deadlines. Read the official page first.
Per-exchange details: Binance code, Bitget code, Gate code.
After the deposit: Brazil’s reporting thresholds
The PIX itself creates no reporting duty. What counts is what happens with the crypto bought:
| Rule (IN 1888) | Threshold | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Annual return | Acquisition cost of BRL 5,000 or more in one type of crypto asset | List it under assets and rights (Bens e Direitos) |
| Monthly report | BRL 30,000 or more in a month on a foreign exchange or outside exchanges | File the monthly report with the Receita Federal |
These are two thresholds with different purposes. The capital gains rate for individuals was not confirmed in an official source; check with the Receita Federal or an accountant.
Four checks before sending the PIX
- The exchange shows PIX on your account’s deposit screen.
- Identity verification is complete, with the same name and CPF as the bank.
- The exchange appears on the central bank list, and the first PIX is small.
- The route back to reais is clear, especially on Gate.
After the first deposit, buying is covered in how to buy crypto for the first time, and the four exchanges sit side by side on the exchanges page.

FAQ
Which international exchanges accept PIX deposits in Brazil?
Binance (PIX and TED), Bitget (under Bank Deposit) and Gate (from BRL 25.00 with no fee, per its official guide) list PIX on official pages. For Bybit, a PIX deposit option was not confirmed on an official page as of November 8, 2026.
Do PIX deposits arrive instantly?
Binance's official page describes PIX as available 24/7 with instant credit. For Bitget and Gate, deposit timing was not found on an official page; the deposit screen shows what applies.
Can the PIX come from someone else's bank account?
That is not the safe route. Gate asks for a PIX from an account linked to the user's own CPF, and Binance and Bitget require a same-name account for withdrawals. Always pay from an account in your own name and CPF.
Can these exchanges still receive PIX after November 6, 2026?
Binance, Bitget, Bybit and Gate are listed as 'under review' on the central bank list of November 6, 2026. That means an application was filed, not approved. Firms that applied on time stay in the transition period; check the official list before large transfers.
